Our History
Prior to 2001, there were some christian families from Richmond Hill who were meeting with saints in Toronto locality. Home/group meetings within Richmond Hill locality were then almost non existent.
In late 1998, a family moved from Toronto into Richmond Hill and later two other families joined. One family had immigrated from Malaysia, and the other from Singapore/Malaysia after having worked in the USA. Around 2001/2002, these three families together with some saints from Toronto locality began meeting in home/group meetings on Friday evenings in Richmond Hill. The average number was about 12. Around 2003/04, the Toronto saints began moving away. Nevertheless, the three Richmond Hill families continued to stand steadfastly. They still met every Friday evening in Richmond Hill, and partook the Lord's Table in Toronto locality.
In 2004/05, there was a strong sense concerning the lampstand of God in Richmond Hill. Fellowship was sought with the saints in other localities in North America and the Far East. In early 2006, the news that more than one family, who were clear about the ministry and were willing to take the way of the recovery, were considering moving into Richmond Hill strengthened the desire to have the lampstand in Richmond Hill even stronger. In late March 2006, the fellowship concerning the church in Richmond Hill was fellowshipped again in North America.
Praise the Lord, He established His Table in Richmond Hill on April 9, 2006.
